INTRAOCULAR LENS TREATMENTS

See clearly with precise lens technology
Intraocular lens surgery involves implanting an artificial lens inside the eye – either in addition to the natural lens or as a replacement, for example, in the case of a cataract (clouding of the lens).
The body's own lens is either completely removed or – in certain procedures – left in place. The new lens is precisely tailored to the individual's visual needs and permanently placed in the eye.
This method is suitable not only for treating cataracts, but also for patients who desire a life without glasses – for example, in cases of severe refractive errors, presbyopia, or a cornea unsuitable for laser treatment.
Treatment Procedure
- Duration of the procedure: approximately 15–20 minutes per eye
 - Anesthesia: usually local or, if desired, sedation
 - Aftercare: short rest period with an eye patch, no severe pain
 - Return to daily life: usually possible within a few days
 - Surgical Procedure: Both eyes are operated on one day apart

The treatment is proven, precise, and has been used successfully for many years – even in people without existing cataracts.
