How does the procedure work?

The implantation of trifocal lenses is a proven, safe procedure:

• Surgery duration: approximately 15–20 minutes per eye
• Anesthesia: usually local, painless
• Procedure: both eyes are treated one day apart
• Healing: able to function again after a few days

After the surgery, a short recovery period with an eye bandage is sufficient – severe pain or discomfort usually does not occur.

What should I do after the surgery?

Eye drops are usually recommended for the first two weeks. Some patients initially report:

• Halos or glare, especially when driving at night
• Occasional difficulty reading even the smallest print
• A significant improvement in everyday tasks: reading, working on a computer, using a smartphone and tablet – without glasses

For many patients, these symptoms subside during the adjustment period.
