RETINAL DISEASE TREATMENTS

So you can keep your eye on what matters
The retina is a wafer-thin, light-sensitive layer of nerve tissue on the back of the eye. It converts light stimuli into electrical signals and transmits them to the visual center in the brain. Sharp, colorful vision is only possible when the retina is intact.
Even small changes in the retina can noticeably impair vision – sometimes gradually, sometimes suddenly. This makes early diagnosis by a specialized ophthalmologist all the more important.
Typical warning signs of retinal diseases
- Sudden or gradual loss of visual acuity
 - Distorted or blurred vision
 - Flashes of light, shadows, or "black flakes" in the field of vision
 - Temporary loss of vision
 - Increased occurrence of floating spots (floating spots)

Such symptoms should always be taken seriously. An ophthalmological examination can determine whether a retinal disease is present – and how it can be best treated.
